Marketing Multiplied

Are you getting the most you can from your marketing efforts? You can increase results exponentially by building on each success.

Let’s say you send a press release and get publicity.  Great!  That’s a success.  Now, get reprints of the article to send to clients.  Frame a copy and hang it at your place of business.  Get “As Seen on TV” stickers to put on your products featured in a TV story.  Get copies of TV appearances to send to non-competing media and national shows.

When customers place an order, include your catalog or product information in the package.  If you have a retail location, include a flier in the bag with each purchase.  If orders are placed by phone, make sure order takers offer a special to increase the size of the order—offer a sale price on an accessory, or a special price when they order two.

When advertising and other promotions get people to call or visit, get their names and addresses so you can keep in touch.  Follow up with mailings about new products or special offers.  They already know you, so they are more likely to order than “strangers” would be. The same thing goes for website visitors. Put a form on each page of your site asking people to sign up for your email newsletter.

Use every opportunity to escalate your marketing.
